Eligible Members:
Forest Lakes Property Owners: Membership is included as part of property ownership within Forest Lakes.
Non-Resident Members: A limited number of memberships are available for non-residents, offered at family and individual rates.
FAST Swim Team Members: A limited number of memberships are available for swim team participants, offered at family and individual rates.
Pool Access Cards:
A pool access card is required for entry and must be used for electronic sign-in.
Forest Lakes residents, non-resident members, and FAST Swim Team members receive one access card free upon registration.
Additional or replacement cards can be purchased for $15 each.
Access privileges may be withheld if FLPOA dues or membership fees are overdue.
One-Time Approvals:
The following one-time activities may be approved at the discretion of the Pool Director or FLPOA:
Swim Classes: One-time swim classes conducted by certified instructors.
Lifeguard Trainings: Approved certification or recertification classes.
Swim Team Meets: FAST Swim Team meets may be approved for specific dates and times, subject to availability and facility use guidelines.
Guest Access:
Guest privileges vary by membership type:
Non-Resident Family Memberships: Up to two (2) guests free of charge.
Non-Resident Individual Memberships: One guest allowed.
FAST Swim Team Individual Memberships: No guest privileges.
Guests must always be accompanied by a member.
Guest approvals may be limited during peak times, including weekends and holidays, to ensure the comfort and safety of all members.
Additional guest requests must be approved by the Pool Director, Deck Manager, or Lifeguard on duty, particularly during holidays or peak hours, to ensure safety and prevent overcrowding.
Special access privileges, such as early morning lap swimming, may be granted on a per-card basis with prior arrangement and approval from the Pool Director.
Unauthorized Access:
Allowing non-members unauthorized entry is strictly prohibited and will result in the loss of pool privileges.
Age Requirements:
Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult or someone 16+ years old.
Children over 12 must demonstrate responsible behavior, including following all pool rules and respecting Lifeguard instructions. Failure to comply may result in the requirement for adult supervision.
Lifeguards may require additional supervision for children failing to follow safety guidelines.
Lifeguard Waiver:
All members must sign a "Use of Pool Without Lifeguards Waiver" to swim. For safety, never swim alone.
Behavioral Expectations:
Running, diving, flips, and rough play are prohibited.
Excessive throwing of balls or objects that disturb or endanger others is not allowed.
Disruptive behavior, including loud shouting, running in the pool area, or engaging in unsafe actions like pushing others into the pool, may result in removal at the discretion of the Lifeguard on duty.
Health Guidelines:
Individuals with infectious diseases or open wounds are not permitted in the pool.
Proper swimwear is required; swim diapers are mandatory for non-toilet-trained individuals.
Wading Pool:
Reserved for children under 4 years old, who must be accompanied by an adult.
Prohibited Items:
No glass containers, sharp objects, weapons, illegal substances, or hazardous materials.
Smoking/vaping is prohibited within the pool enclosure.
The use of floats and balls (e.g., beach balls, tennis balls) is allowed at the discretion of the Lifeguard on duty. Items such as oversized floats, high-pressure water guns, or hard-surfaced objects may be restricted if deemed hazardous by the Lifeguard on duty to ensure safety.
Showers and Cleanliness:
Rinsing off before entering the pool is mandatory to maintain water cleanliness and protect all patrons from contaminants..
Patrons are encouraged to properly dispose of all food and drink items to maintain cleanliness and avoid attracting bees or other pests.
Thunderstorms:
The pool will close immediately at the first sign of thunder or lightning. Patrons must remain out of the water for 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning.
Rain and Cold:
If temperatures remain below 70°F or rain makes conditions unsafe, the Pool Director or Deck Manager may close the pool for the day.
Tornado Warnings:
The pool will close immediately under a Tornado Warning. Patrons should seek shelter.
Extended Severe Weather:
If storms persist for more than 2 hours, the Pool Director or Deck Manager may declare the pool closed for the remainder of the day.
Communication:
Weather-related closures will be announced via text notifications, emails, or updates on the FLPOA website.
Reservations:
Groups of 10 or more must submit a Pool/Pavilion Reservation Form at least 48 hours in advance. Approval ensures sufficient staffing and availability of facilities.
The Pool Director or Deck Manager confirms availability. Rental fees may apply.
Disruptive groups, including those engaging in loud or unruly behavior, failing to clean up after their event, or violating pool rules, may be asked to leave at the discretion of the Lifeguard.
One-Time Approvals:
One-time swim classes and lifeguard training sessions must be pre-approved by the Pool Director. These activities should not interfere with regular pool operations or member enjoyment.
Swim team meets must be scheduled in advance. Availability is subject to approval by the Pool Director to ensure sufficient staffing and facility readiness.
Food and Drink Policy:
Patrons are encouraged to properly dispose of all food and drink items to maintain cleanliness and avoid attracting bees or other pests.
Glass containers are strictly prohibited within the pool and pavilion area to prevent injury.
To maintain a safe and family-friendly environment, alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in all areas of the pool and pavilion.
Staffing:
Additional lifeguards may be required for large gatherings at the discretion of the Pool Director or Deck Manager. Any associated fees for extra staffing will be communicated during the reservation process.
To maintain a safe and welcoming environment, loitering in the parking lot is not allowed.
In case of overflow, patrons may park on the grass along Graves Mill Road. Ensure vehicles do not block driveways or pedestrian paths.
The parking lot closes at 10:00 PM, and any unauthorized entry or parking after this time will be considered trespassing.
Disorderly behavior in any FLPOA common area may result in removal or involvement of the Sheriff’s Department.
Lifeguards, the Pool Director, and the Deck Manager are authorized to enforce all pool and safety rules. Patrons are expected to respect their authority, especially regarding decisions related to safety, behavior, and access.
